As the Principal of San Miguel High School, it is a privilege and blessing to be able to be a part of a community that trains up children. In our case, the young men and women we are able to guide up and work with are tremendous blessings. As a Lasallian Catholic and Cristo Rey Network school, we are charged with shaping and molding our students into faith-filled leaders who study a rigorous curriculum and receive real world experience in their work study jobs. As the scripture reminds us, if we do our due diligence to help our young men and women form into the adults God intends, they shall always carry with them the tools to be citizens of this world and the next.
As a result, San Miguel High School and I are embarking on our third year together. Along with President Dave Mason, we take very seriously the roles God has provided us with and the children He has placed in our care. For this reason, we have been working closely together with our faculty/staff in order to make a few changes to better serve our students. From the academic experience in classrooms, to the training for the Corporate Work Study Program, and the manner in which we simply approach our students and families, our leadership is finding new ways to communicate, build up and train up our community.
Our students only spend 4 years with us, a limited time in the grand scheme of our eternal lives, so it is imperative that with each moment we make the most of it for every single student. We thank our families and supportive community for the trust and dedication you provide to us as leaders of this school, and we pray that God guides our paths of training up the leaders and faith-filled men and women of tomorrow. San Miguel students enter to learn, and leave to serve.
