For the first time, San Miguel has a wheelchair bound student who was unable to travel off campus to complete the CWSP component of the curriculum because there were no vehicles suited with the accessibility to transport him. Last year, his work assignment was at the school's front office. Catholic Foundation Diocese of Tucson granted a gift for a new wheelchair accessible van to be used for transportation to and from corporate internships around the greater Tucson area. The van would also be utilized to support a variety of other programs and projects at San Miguel such as athletics, community service projects, enriching field trips, and college campus visits.
Thank you from the bottom of our heart, along with his peers, Gabriel is now able to go off campus to gain the work experience.
