The School That Works!

College & Career Counseling

The mission of the College and Guidance Department is to provide a comprehensive guidance program that assists low-income, minority, and first generation students in acquiring the skills, knowledge, and attitude needed to make a successful transition into post-secondary education.

San Miguel High School strives to counsel students beginning the first day of their freshman year. Students prepare a portfolio to be used in the college application process and are encouraged to apply to multiple colleges and universities.

Students at San Miguel are encouraged to apply to college summer programs around the country to enhance their educational development at San Miguel. Further, all students are expected to enroll in an institute of higher education after graduating from San Miguel.

Please do not hesitate to contact the college counseling team at (520) 294-6403 ext. 1212 or via email at gomezo@sanmiguelhigh.org. We look forward to hearing from you!
